There is no uniform standard for the replacement cycle of machine oil. It needs to be determined comprehensively based on the type of equipment, working environment, intensity of use, and characteristics of the oil. The following are recommended replacement cycles and criteria for different scenarios:
Regular Replacement Cycles by Equipment Type
Industrial Machine Tools
Ordinary metal cutting machine tools (turning, milling, planing, grinding): Replace every 8-10 months (one shift)
Precision machine tool spindles or grinding wheel spindles: Replace every 3-10 months
Initial operation of new machine tools: It is recommended to change the first lubricating oil within 2-3 months to remove metal debris generated during trial operation.
Hydraulic and Power Equipment
Hydraulic equipment (such as die-casting machines, injection molding machines, hydraulic presses): Replace every 8-12 months (one shift only)
Construction Transportation Machinery Hydraulic System:
Use No. 20 or No. 30 machine oil: Replace every 6 months
Use ordinary hydraulic oil: Can be extended to 1-1.5 years
Specialized Machinery Equipment
Screw Air Compressor:
Replace after the first 500 hours of operation
Replace every 2000 hours thereafter, or even if the required operating hours have not been reached but at least 6 months have passed.
Core Drilling Rig Reducer:
First oil change: 100 working hours
Second: 400 working hours
Replace every 600 working hours thereafter.
